Portfolio: Web Development

A selection of sites I have worked on:

Medilex.ie

Medilex
Medilex is under re-development to add an online ordering system. This will allow clients to place orders directly with the business quickly and easily. The site takes a clean and simple approach, with minimal clutter to distract visitors. The site is Drupal based, and will integrate UberCart as the e-commerce module; connecting with the RealEx payment system to allow online credit card transactions.

Hit The Road

Hit The Road
Hit The Road is a project also in development that aims to integrate public transport for the city of Dublin. This site is Ruby on Rails based, and makes use of large amounts of data and that A* routing algorithm. The front-end makes extensive use of jQuery and uses the Google Maps API to display routes, and extract walking directions between the forms of public transport.

StudioRichards

StudioRichards
Studio Richards approached me with a clear design in mind for how the site was to look. I developed a new Drupal theme that mimicked the proposed design, while also integrating my domain knowledge. The site makes use of jQuery, and as with all sited I develop fails gracefully if JavaScript is not available.

PhysioCare

PhysioCare
The director of the PhysioCare group, David Dalton, asked his colleagues to recommend a web developer and my name was mentioned. After meeting with David it was clear he had a solid idea of what the PhysioCare website should do for him and his customers, and it was left to me to implement this vision. The site allows customers to connect with PhysioCare via a weekly newsletter subscription, and will soon allow them to request callbacks and bookings at specific locations and times.

Design21C

Design21c
I was also recommended to the Design21c group as an expert web developer; they had a design in mind, but were lacking in the knowledge of how the web can enable them to display the design and how best to allow them to interact with the people of Dublin and the Dublin design community. I developed a platform that allows visitors to the site to submit their wishes for the county of Dublin. These wishes are ranked based on visitor interest and the top wishes will soon be selected and implemented.
